Sabancaya Volcano in Peru Disrupts the Miami – Bolivia Air Route

I awoke about 4:45 am to check my family’s flight progress on the over-night from Miami to La Paz via Peruvioan air space.  It alarmed me to see a sudden left-turn out over the Amazon and a notice “Flight Diverted.”

All ended well with them arriving at the destination city directly because of the diversion.

The cause was an ash plume from Sabancaya Volcano, which has its own website and cams.   YouTube
