Gateway MX Audio Problem
Did that but ran into a bigger driver issue. What was I doing wrong all this time?

Anyway, several days with Gateway on the phone and chat with them also taking control of the PC, they’ve been curtious and tried their best to help ; No sounf installed has helped. The windows interface for wireless networks would say unable to find any wireless network in range and will have the disconnected Cross sign. The wireless network kept disconnecting on its own even when the router was 5 steps away from it.
Anyway, I got XP Pro. So all this time I was thinking that it is not the right driver, since windows does soubd like it. Well on one sit they offered the correct driver supposedly to fix the issue zip filebut when down loaded it say zip file is souns just teasing maybe.
I went from windows XP 64 bit model to windows 7 64 bit. I hope this help someone else. HAve actually got drivers to install and the yellow ‘!
The time now is Results 1 to 2 of 2. Suresh Kumar- Microsoft Support. After spending 8 hrs and doing another windows reinstall, I somehow find out the make and model of the chipset and the sound card. You can follow the question or vote as soundd, but you cannot reply to this thread.
